February Seminar: Novel Approaches to Wool Recycling

We are delighted to welcome the first of our new programme of monthly seminars. We will focus on showcasing the work of our researchers, and bringing the latest in textile and design innovation to our networks.

First of all, we take a look at how the eating habits of clothes moths impact wool recycling.

Our researchers Chiara and Bethan use bioinformatics and recombinant protein production to discover, produce and characterise new enzymes for biological wool recycling. Learn how interdisciplinary design approaches investigate wool fibre deconstruction in a context of circular economy for the fashion and textile industry.

The online event will begin at 4pm with a Q&A following the presentation.
