Body X Materials @CHI: Exploring the intersections of body and materiality in a full-day workshop

The TCC’s Consumer Experience researchers, Dr Bruna Petreca and Ricardo O’Nascimento, along with their colleagues Ana Tajadura-Jiménez , Laia Turmo Vidal, and Aneesha Singh ran a one-day workshop at the 2023 CHI conference in Hamburg, Germany, to consider the design space at the intersection of the body and materials. The workshop gathered designers, makers, researchers, and artists to explore current theories, approaches, methods, and tools that emphasise the critical role of materiality in body-based interactions with technology. Read about it in the IX Interactions blog here about their take on the intersection of the body and materials.
